MANGA POST
Part 6 How to Use Manga Edit
First, sign up as a new manga creator on MANGA POST and upload your work. Leaving the speech bubbles blank when you post your manga ensures a cleaner final product.
Your manga won't display Manga Edit until you've posted it.
Go to "Manga Management" (formerly "Works Management") and click on the "Speech Bubble Icon" to open Manga Edit.
You can also open Manga Edit by clicking the "magnifying glass icon" → "Edit speech bubbles with Manga Edit".
After opening "manga edit", double-click (or double-tap for touch devices) the comic image. A text area will appear.
Double-click or double-tap on the screen.
Grab the white space around the text area with your mouse (or finger) and move it into the speech bubble.
1. Grab the white margin outside the text area with your mouse (finger).
2. Move the text area into the speech bubble.
Drag the bottom-right corner of the text area to expand it so that it fits within the bubble. Make sure the text area doesn't overlap the bubble's outline!
If the text area crosses the bubble's lines, it can be hard to read when printed.
Place the cursor in the text area and type in your dialogue.
When the mouse pointer moves outside the text area (or if the focus shifts on a touch device), the dialogue is automatically saved. This feature saves you the trouble of hitting the save button after entering each piece of dialogue.
The font size will automatically adjust to the size of the text area.
If you're posting a manga with dialogue already included, use "Fukidasi AI" to extract the text within the speech bubbles. After extraction, the AI will translate it. You can also later modify the dialogue using "Manga Edit."
Readers can quickly lose interest in a manga that's hard to read. Strive for visual beauty to ensure readers can fully immerse themselves in your manga without distraction!
When you input dialogue over an existing manga with "Manga Edit," there's a chance you might not be able to cover the underlying text.
Input the dialogue from top to bottom following the order of the story panels. This is critical for the AI to translate the text in the sequence it was entered, understanding the context. It also increases the chances of your story ranking higher in search engines like Google by being recognized as natural and valuable content.
Select the language you wish to translate into and press the button, and your work will be translated into over 100 languages, including Japanese, English, and Chinese.
MANGA POST's development is funded by the pocket money of manga deliveryboy, so development may take time or be discontinued. Please understand this in advance.
The AI translation currently implemented on MANGA POST is based on neural networks modeled after the human brain and large language models, which are constantly learning and evolving. Therefore, the same piece of dialogue may be translated differently today than tomorrow.
There are things to keep in mind to help the AI translate accurately. There are many more, so try to find them, and if you come up with a good method, please let us know.
1.Write the subject (even if it's often omitted).
2.Keep sentences clear and concise.
3.Always end sentences with a period (。).
× "Nice to meet you my name is MANGA POST!"
→ "Nice to meet you. My name is MANGA POST!"
4.Use kanji whenever possible.
× "The hana is pretty."
→ "The flower is beautiful."
5.Use specific verbs.
× "Make it juice."
→ "I want to drink juice."
Since manga dialogue often contains omissions, AI can mistranslate. Adapting the dialogue too meticulously to the AI can result in unnatural Japanese. Since manga combines images with words, the trick is to adjust the dialogue to suit the AI without distorting the manga's imagery.
MANGA POST is also advancing the development of a feature that allows professional translators' translated dialogue to be input into manga speech bubbles, enabling even more accurate expression of dialogue.
